London Stag Weekends
When planning a best friend’s stag party, what better city to hold it in than the largest and most sophisticated city? London attracts visitors from all over the world and has a wealth of pubs, restaurants and activities that will make the stag party one to remember for a lifetime.
London is home to historic sites, impressive architecture and fun-filled activities. Here’s a list of things that simply cannot be missed:
Buckingham Palace – Take a tour of the royal residency if the party is in the summer, but even if not it’s worth a stop.
London Eye – See all the wonderful sights of London from atop of one of the world’s highest observation wheels located near the Thames.
Catch a game – The city is home to 20 professional football clubs, so there’s a very good chance one of them will be hosting a match during the stag party.
See a show – London has a vibrant theatre scene and there is ample opportunity to take in some great live shows at one of the city’s numerous venues.
Paintball – London has many unique settings from which to battle each other, including a Cold War bunker in North Greenwich and 75 acres of woodland on a private estate in Sussex.
Home to some of the oldest pubs in Europe as well as the trendiest nightclubs, there’s certainly no shortage of places to take those thirsty stag mates. Each district in London caters to a different style of music. There’s also a number of comedy clubs to attend, casinos for gambling and venues to receive a traditional stag lap dance.
Eating and Drinking in London
Two of the oldest pubs in London are The Anchor in Borough and Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese on Fleet Street. London’s public transportation system is top notch, which is a good thing considering the size of the city. While many points of interest are within walking distance or a short tube ride away, there are also taxis and buses.
